Two Tsavos and then the ocean. You start in Tsavo East, where the elephants are stained rust red from the dust they throw over themselves and where the man-eaters of 1898 earned the park its reputation. Tsavo West follows and is a different place entirely: greener, more broken country, with the rhino sanctuary and Mzima Springs, where water filtered through volcanic rock runs clear enough to watch hippo from an underwater viewing chamber.
From Mtito Andei you take the train down to the coast and swap the bush for the beach, with two full days of nothing scheduled in Mombasa or Diani before the return to Nairobi. Six days is enough to cover two very different parks and still get real time by the sea, which is why this one works for families who want the safari to finish slowly rather than end on a long drive. Park fees, all meals, drinking water and transfers are included.
